STEP INTO THE CIRCLE

With being a community focused organization, live events traditionally serve as milestones of the collective journey of dancers. These gatherings offer time and space for celebration, exchange, and communal building.

Events have historically brought together artists of different backgrounds, generations, disciplines - all under one roof. Explore some of our events that have re-ignited old traditions, sparked new traditions, connected the coasts, and bridged some old and new faces.

GRASSROOT & COLLEGIATE COLLABORATION

Grassroots events have long sustained Street & Club dance since its inception. Historically, resources and infrastructure have not been accessible to our communities to fund events. Through collaboration with partners and individual artists, we contribute to building a framework that can be used by future generations.

We also partner and provide consultation to over 10 collegiate events per year. These events date as far back as 2016, ensuring cultural sensitivity and landscape analysis to the ecosystem in which they exist. By hiring local artists through vetting of merit and opportunities, we ensure community equity in the staffed positions of judges, MC’s, DJ’s, and additional staff, bridging the grassroots and collegiate realm into a robust ecosystem.
